The Congolese franc (CDF) recorded a slight depreciation of 0.21% against the US dollar in the week from 28 February to 7 March 2025, settling at CDF 2,862.18 to the US dollar, compared with CDF 2,856.10 the previous week, according to a business report from the Central Bank of Congo (BCC).
The BCC points out that, in parallel, the national currency appreciated by 0.24% over the same period.
“On 7 March 2025, the exchange rate was characterised by slight fluctuations on both segments. On the indicative exchange rate, the Congolese franc depreciated slightly by 0.21% of its value, while on the parallel exchange rate, the national currency appreciated by 0.24%,” says the BCC in its note, quoted by the Agence Congolese de Presse (ACP).
