My name is Mérimée Kalumba and I’m the Managing Director of EMIAFRICA, a consultancy firm operating in the environmental and social fields. EMIAFRICA is a consultancy that provides environmental and social impact services to its clients. We assist our clients with audits. We also have governance clients.
Where are you based?
EMIAFRICA was founded in Lubumbashi, so it’s “made in Congo”. We currently have another office in Zambia and another in Burundi. We have also registered a branch in Mauritius.
Can you list some of your major customers since the company was founded?
Our company has already worked with Kamoa and Kibali. We are currently also working with Kipay, one of the leading energy operators here in the DRC. We have assisted Kipay with its Sombwe project, its Fungurume project and another ongoing project.
Tell us about your current projects
We’re working on some interesting projects. We are the first office in the DRC to be able to inventory greenhouse gases.
Among other things, we are even assisting clients listed on the stock exchange, such as Rio Tinto, for whom we have carried out an inventory of greenhouse gases in Guinea.
It’s important to remember that EMIAFRICA is a local office that can offer good services in the environmental field.
