DRC Mining Week 2026: Lubumbashi at the Heart of Mining Investments

From June 17 to 19, 2026, Lubumbashi will host the DRC Mining Week at the Pullman Lubumbashi Grand Karavia.

Recognized as one of the continent’s leading mining events, the gathering will bring together more than 300 international exhibitors, government officials, investors, financial institutions, and mining operators to discuss the future of the Congolese extractive sector.

A Platform for Investment

As global demand for strategic minerals continues to rise, the Democratic Republic of Congo is strengthening its position in the copper, cobalt, and lithium markets.

DRC Mining Week serves as a showcase for the country’s mining potential and a platform for dialogue among stakeholders across the mining value chain.

Organizers expect participation from mining companies, equipment suppliers, consulting firms, banks, and development agencies interested in opportunities offered by the Congolese market.

The goal is to create a favorable environment for investment, partnerships, and innovative solutions that support the growth of the mining sector.

Activities will begin on June 16 with an Energy Investment Forum highlighting the strategic role of energy in mining and industrial development.

Top Decision-Makers Expected

The opening ceremony is expected to bring together several influential figures, including Mining Minister Louis Watum Kabamba, the Governor of Haut-Katanga, and representatives from Gécamines, Standard Bank, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, and the Federation of Enterprises of Congo.

The program will also feature a CEO Roundtable, a Value Chain Investment Forum, Industry Plus sessions, and several B2B meetings designed to facilitate partnerships among investors, mining operators, and service providers.

The Women in Mining & Leadership Forum will also highlight the growing contribution of women in the extractive industry.

Mining & Business at the Event

As a long-standing media partner of DRC Mining Week, Mining & Business Magazine will once again provide extensive coverage of the 2026 edition, including investment forums, business meetings, strategic announcements, exclusive interviews, and expert analysis.

A Strategic Event for the Future

Just days before its opening, DRC Mining Week 2026 is already shaping up as a key event for stakeholders interested in the development of the Congolese mining industry.

For Lubumbashi, the event represents an opportunity to reinforce its status as the mining capital of the DRC and a major investment hub in Central Africa.
