Expo Béton 2026: Official Opening in Kalemie Under the Banner of Major Investments

The 11th edition of Expo Béton officially opened on Wednesday in Kalemie, in Tanganyika province, marking a historic first for this major platform dedicated to construction, infrastructure, and urban development in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The opening ceremony took place in the presence of Expo Béton founder Jean Bamanisa Saidi, national and provincial authorities, as well as several economic actors and investors who came to take part in this strategic gathering.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor of Tanganyika, Christian Kitungwa, presented his province as a land of opportunities called upon to play a major role in regional trade and future investments.
“Tanganyika, a land of hope and the future, at the heart of African corridors, is now emerging as the next global destination for major investments. With its many natural resources, it offers everyone the opportunity to build and seize the opportunities available there,” the governor declared.
For his part, Expo Béton founder Jean Bamanisa Saidi recalled the importance of this platform in promoting infrastructure, transport corridors, and the development of African cities, while highlighting Tanganyika’s economic potential.
Held under the theme of promoting African corridors and Tanganyika’s mining potential, this edition brings together public authorities, investors, companies, and experts for four days of discussions on infrastructure, urbanization, and economic development.
By organizing Expo Béton in Kalemie, provincial authorities and organizers aim to strengthen Tanganyika’s attractiveness and position the province as a future strategic hub at the heart of exchanges between East, Southern, and Central Africa.
