DRC Seeks National Pavilion at Davos 2027 to Market Its Investment Projects

According to government spokesperson Patrick Muyaya, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy informed the Council of this initiative, which is meant to provide the DRC with an officially identified space to receive, showcase, negotiate, and persuade global economic operators.

Targeted sectors as a showcase

The themes selected correspond to national economic priorities: infrastructure and corridors, mines and strategic minerals, energy and climate, water and agro-industry, as well as tourism and the creative economy.

The government intends to apply a requirement for clarity and maturity of the projects presented, in order to guarantee their attractiveness, in accordance with the conditions set by the coordination mechanisms. This selection determines the credibility of the Congolese offer in the face of investors who arbitrate between several jurisdictions.

Three preparation phases

The Minister of Economy, Daniel Mukoko, quoted in the document, specifies that the preparation cycle will be structured around three phases: preparation, the holding of the forum, and post-event follow-up. The stated objective is to ensure optimal use of the pavilion as well as the monitoring and reporting of results to the government.

A detailed work plan will be submitted to the Council of Ministers for arbitration. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy requested the government’s support for the implementation of this national strategic initiative. For Kinshasa, Davos represents an opportunity to present its priority sectors and highlight its economic opportunities to international stakeholders.
