Kinshasa, September 2, 2026 – Sofibanque, one of the leading commercial banks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, has published its results for the 2025 financial year, confirming the growth momentum it has built over the past several years. Its net profit reached USD 39 million, up 33%, while its net banking income stood at USD 129.3 million, an increase of 27%. Total assets now amount to USD 1.44 billion.

These results reflect Sofibanque’s transformation in scale and the consolidation of its model: an independent bank rooted in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, capable of combining proximity with high standards while pursuing a controlled development strategy.

These performances were accompanied by strong growth in its lending activity: total loans reached USD 695.5 million at the end of 2025, compared with USD 526 million a year earlier, representing an increase of more than 30%. Deposits, meanwhile, stood at USD 1.15 billion.

Growth in Step with the Congolese Economy

This growth is part of a strategy aimed at supporting the increasing needs of companies operating in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, particularly in sectors that are key to the country’s economy.

In 2025, Sofibanque notably continued to develop its activities with major economic players and strengthened its capacity to integrate and manage significant financial flows, particularly in Greater Katanga.

This expansion has been accompanied by a strengthening of regulatory capital, which reached USD 191.1 million.

“These results are above all a reflection of the trust placed in us by our clients and of our teams’ ability to support the Congolese economy. Sofibanque’s growth is not an end in itself: it must enable us to finance more businesses and offer solutions that are increasingly tailored to their needs,” said Henry Wazne, Chief Executive Officer of Sofibanque.

Strengthening the Fundamentals to Support the Bank’s Expansion

The growth in activity in 2025 was accompanied by the strengthening of Sofibanque’s organization, governance, and risk management framework.

The bank is therefore continuing on a path that combines commercial development, risk management, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

At the same time, digital transformation remains one of the bank’s main development drivers.

In 2025, Sofibanque continued to automate customer journeys, integrate its systems with those of its corporate clients, and develop new interaction channels, with the aim of simultaneously improving the speed, security, and personalization of its services.

This transformation also concerns human capital, with the continued structuring of the organization and the deployment of the “Sofibanque 4.0” HR strategic plan, designed to support skills development among employees and the growth of the bank’s activities.

A New Stage of Development

After fifteen years of development in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sofibanque intends to continue this momentum by consolidating its geographical presence and operational capabilities.

The year 2025 was notably marked by the opening of new branches and progress on major structural projects, including its new headquarters.

“The year 2025 marks a new stage for Sofibanque. Our priority remains to serve our clients with high standards, proximity and tailor-made solutions. We must now support our expansion while preserving what makes our model strong: our knowledge of the local market, our responsiveness and our ability to build solutions adapted to the realities of each client,” added Henry Wazne, Chief Executive Officer of Sofibanque.
